Home : Maplesoft Product Demos : MapleNet Worksheet & Education Demos
Below are a series of interactive demonstrations that highlight the features and functionality of MapleNet. These demonstrations will allow you to view and interact with a Maple document posted to the Web.

Prerequisites:
For full interaction with the demos, this site requires you to have the Java Runtime Environment JRE 6 Update 10 (v. 1.6.0_10) or later, including the browser plugin. Note that the worksheet demos will still work when Java is not installed. If you do not have the JRE installed, download and install the version appropriate for your system.

MapleNet Interactive Demonstrations

These examples are actual Maple documents that have been posted on a MapleNet server without modification.

Maple Unit Converter
This Application enables you to assign units to variables in your calculations and compute the correct units for your results.
Alkylation Process Model
This Application uses the Global Optimization Toolbox to calculate the optimal set of conditions for maximum profitability for a typical process in the petrochemical industry.
Chemical Equilibrium
In this example, we determine the concentrations of components of an acid such that the resulting parameters are equal to user-defined values using the Global Optimization Toolbox for Maple.
Dissolved Oxygen Model for Rivers
In this MapleNet Application, the concentration profile of dissolved oxygen is determined in a river system, whose parameters are interactively defined by the user.
Integrals with MapleNet
This application allows you to enter any function to be integrated.
Heating an Oil Stream Through Steam-Heated Tanks
Oil is to be heated by being pumped through a series of steam-heated tanks. This application shows how Maple can be used to design and analyze such a system.
Special Functions
Maple incorporates a database with the properties of over 200 special functions, including the Hypergeometric, Bessel, Mathieu, Heun and Legendre families of functions.
Signal Generation
This example demonstrates how to efficiently generate signals.
Analyzing Data Files in Maple
One of Maple's greatest strengths is analyzing data. This application allows you to load a data file. The application will then fit a curve to the data, find the maximum point in the data and calculate the area underneath the curve.

3-D Animation with MapleNet
This application allows you to enter any function to be plotted and animated. It demonstrates MapleNet's 3-D Plotting and animation capabilities.

Education Examples

These examples illustrate other methods of publishing content through MapleNet (Applets, Maplets, and JSP). They are education-oriented and would be effective in helping students visualize class content.
